Everything most charterers want to know before booking. If your question is not here, send us a message on the Contact page.
The Ionian has an extended sailing season, with the best conditions from mid-April to mid-October and over 250 days of sunshine a year. June to August is peak season and the warmest; May, September and October are quieter, a little cooler, and just as beautiful.
Our fleet is three Lagoon 46 catamarans and one Dufour 48 catamaran, all available for charter with or without a skipper. See the Yachts page for full specs and photos of each.
For a bareboat charter you'll need a sailing license recognised by the Greek port authorities, plus your original certificates on hand at handover. If we're not satisfied a charterer can operate the yacht safely, we reserve the right to require a skipper instead.
From our base in Preveza you're at the heart of the Ionian: Lefkada and Meganisi for gentle, sheltered sailing; Ithaca and Kefalonia's Fiskardo for scenery and history; Paxos, Antipaxos and Corfu for turquoise water and longer passages; and Zakynthos for the famous Navagio shipwreck beach on longer charters. See the full Destinations page for details on each.
Mooring fees vary by island and by the size of the yacht, and they are modest at most of the places you will stop. Small ports are generally first come, first served, so arriving before 3pm is a good idea. The port officer collects the fee in person, so keep some cash aboard.
Every yacht in our fleet is fully insured. You'll choose between a refundable security deposit or a damage waiver to cover any excess in the unlikely event of damage. See our Terms & Conditions for the current deposit amounts.
The charter fee covers the yacht and its equipment, VAT, a dinghy, 24-hour support, marine insurance, a welcome pack, and weekly linen and towels per cabin. Fuel, provisions, end-of-charter cleaning and mooring fees away from base are not included; full details are on our Terms & Conditions page.
Yes. A professional skipper, hostess and/or cook are all available for an additional daily fee, on top of the standard bareboat rate.
Tell us your dates, group size and what you'd like to see, and we'll help you put together a route that fits your time and experience level. Get in touch through our Contact page whenever you're ready.
Every yacht carries life jackets, flares, a fire extinguisher and GPS, and every charter starts with a full safety briefing before you leave the marina.
We are happy to talk through dates, routes and which yacht suits your group.
