Chartering in Greek waters since 2015

Four catamarans on the Ionian Sea, prepared to the same standard before every charter.

Barchetta Yachts has been chartering catamarans in Greek waters since 2015. The idea has not changed since: a well kept boat, water worth sailing, and a week organised well enough that you spend it looking at the coastline rather than sorting out problems.

Greece is unusually good sailing ground. The islands sit close enough together that no crossing has to be a long one, the water is sheltered, and the season runs from spring into late autumn. A light morning breeze, an hour or two under sail, and an anchorage by lunchtime is an ordinary day here.

Anchor down in a bay you have to yourself and nothing to do until tomorrow. That is the week, and most of the work goes into making sure nothing gets in the way of it.

The fleet is four catamarans: three Lagoon 46s from 2020, 2021 and 2023, and a Dufour 48 delivered in 2026. They sleep between ten and twelve people, and every cabin has its own heads.

Every yacht is available bareboat or with a skipper, and a hostess or a cook can be added to either. Which option suits you depends on your experience, the size of your group and the route you have in mind. We are glad to advise on that before you book.

We sail from Preveza, on the Ionian Sea. It is sheltered cruising ground, with short hops between the islands and steady wind through the summer. Aktion airport is ten minutes from the quay, which makes the first and last days of a charter a good deal easier.

Every yacht is fully serviced over the winter, prepared to the same specification before a charter begins, and inspected again on return. That consistency is what the operation is built around, and it is why a good number of guests book more than once.
